Mayaland.com required reformatting of a Flash structure to a search-engine friendly website using HTML, CSS, PHP and small Flash modules. Previously the site was not even showing up in searches; now it maintains consistently high search engine ratings.
The new database-driven website allows the site owner to quickly update specials and offers. Mayaland consists of four complete versions of the website: English, Spanish, French and Italian.

Starsys was developed as part of a team including Peggy Morris (Morris Marketing Arts/Denver), Jeff Schroeder (ZingStudios/Longmont) and Amanda Taylor (Amanda Taylor Design/Denver). Peggy was production supervisor, Jeff handled back-end database functionality and Amanda designed the look and feel of the site. Shere Chamness handled the architecture, styling and website development.
Kentucky Virtual Library Kids Portal was created in 2003 through the joint efforts of the Kentucky Virtual Library Kids & Teachers Workgroup, with website concept, story, design and animation by Shere Chamness.
Website includes Flash content, a secondary non-Flash version employing animated GIFs for games, and a text-based version for visually impaired users and printer-friendly pages. This section of the Kentucky Virtual Library is still one of the most accessed portions of the entire website, used by kids of all ages.
